Nearly a week

Hiya,

Well I am really pleased with myself one week tomorrow I have been on this diet and have really stuck to it!! I have started drinking plenty of water eating my fruit and veggies and making sure I have 3 meals a day and just fruit or veg in between if I feel peckish. Get weighed tomorrow so that will tell if I have been good or not lol. I joined Weight Watchers on-line so I can check all the foods I have been eating to make sure they are ok!! Don’t feel as though I have lost lots but that bloated feeling has gone and I am not getting reflux anymore so it must be doing me some good.

I am sat in today as cannot venture out as the glazier is coming to repair the window which got smashed by stepsons ex girlfriend its double glazed so it is just the first pane that has smashed not the whole window, don’t know what time they will turn up if at all but will be so angry if they don’t show.

Weather not that good it’s cold and windy and raining on and off so not that bothered at stopping in.

Just wondering now what I can have for my dinner lol chicken and pasta me thinks mmmm. Got to keep on top of things and plan ahead while I’m not that hungry if I left until the last minute I would eat everything in sight lol.

John has just been to pick stepson upfrom work and is making him some lunch before going back he is on split shift, he is head chef so will be working until 11:30 tonight,  they are having meatballs and pie Yuk but it does smell nice.

I cannot add any graphics the buttons are greyed out tut tut this will never do I love to add graphics!!!!

Anyway will say bye bye for now

whoohoo

Well I think I’m on the right track now two good days, get this I even went to the driving range today and hit a few balls!!! Would love to get back playing golf again I do miss it so much, now the better weather is coming who knows maybe I could start again

I know I have a long way to go but slowly does it a day at a time I hope I can just stick to it this time as I really need to for health reasons.

I went through my weight watchers books today and found lots of lovely recipes to try. Tonight I had chicken & ham in mushroom sauce, new potatoes, cauliflower and parsnips and really enjoyed it, luckily I like most foods so that’s not a problem  and there is so much choice so fingers crossed this time I will do it!

All I need to get now is a pedometer and set up this virtual walk I need all the help I can get, so if anyone has any help and tips it will be appreciated.

Well I think I have prattled on long enough about my diet I will wish you all good night.

D Day!!!

 To-days The Diet Day

I have decided to start today I found all my weight watchers and cook books so no excuse anymore, so thought enough’s enough time to get on with it! I weighed myself and have more to lose than I thought which came as a big shock.

Cereal for breakfast with skimmed milk so off to a good start there! J I am having cottage cheese Tuna and sweet corn with Ryvitas for lunch, but not decided what I will have for dinner chicken and pasta more than likely, not bad though for the first day eh... just hope I can stick to it. When I have done this in the past I have found it difficult for the first week then it’s not a problem so let’s just hope I can get through the week. I need to work out what exercise to do thought about doing the virtual walk that a lot of people seem to be doing and I can take Taz (my dog) with me so good exercise for him too lol..

Water water and more water thats another hurdle I need to get over as I don’t drink enough but need to start.

Going to look through my cook books see if I can find a nice recipe for tonights dinner.

Family

Hi,

Received this in an email today thought you might like it!

F A M I L Y

I ran into a stranger as he passed by,
'Oh excuse me please' was my reply.

He said, 'Please excuse me too;
I wasn't watching for you.'

We were very polite, this stranger and I.
We went on our way and we said goodbye.

But at home a different story is told,
How we treat our loved ones, young and old.

Later that day, cooking theevening meal,
My son stood beside me very still.

When I turned, I nearly knocked him down.
'Move out of the way,' I said with a frown.

He walked away, his little heart broken.
I didn't realize how harshly I'd spoken.

While I lay awake in bed,
God's still small voice came to me and said,

'While dealing with a stranger,
common courtesy you use,
but the family you love, you seem to abuse.

Go and look on the kitchen floor,
You'll find some flowers there by the door.

Those are the flowers he brought for you.
He picked them himself: pink, yellow and blue.

He stood very quietly not to spoil the surprise,
you never saw the tears that filled his little eyes.'

By this time, I felt very small,
And now my tears began to fall.

I quietly went and knelt by his bed;
'Wake up, little one, wake up,' I said.

'Are these the flowers you picked for me?'
He smiled, 'I found 'em, out by the tree.

I picked 'em because they're pretty like you.
I knew you'd like 'em, especially the blue.'

I said, 'Son, I'm very sorry for the way I acted today;
I shouldn't have yelled at you that way.'
He said, 'Oh, Mom, that's okay.
I love you anyway.'

I said, 'Son, I love you too,
and I do like the flowers, especially the blue.'

FAMILY
Are you aware that if we died tomorrow, the company
that we are working for could easily replace us in
a matter of days.
But the family we left behind will feel the loss
for the rest of their lives.
And come to think of it, we pour ourselves more
into work than into our own family,
an unwise investment indeed,
don't you think?
So what is behind the story?

Do you know what the word FAMILY means?

FAMILY = (F)ATHER (A)ND (M)OTHER (I) (L)OVE (Y)OU

Photos & Memories

Hi,

As my previous blog regarding old photos I had from my dads flat after he passed away, I have been busy putting old and new photos together and below is what I came up with 6 generations of my family.

I have had to resize it for my blog but thought I would share some of the photos with you as I thought it would be nice seeing old and new together, I have enjoyed doing this as it has made me smile all day! It shows my Great Grandmother, Grandma, Grandad, Mum, Dad, Uncle, Brother and Sister, Myself, my Sons and my Grandaughter all here on one page.

The big pic in the middle is me as a baby with my mum and dad, awww lol.

I am going to do a scrapbook of all the family from childhood to adult with nephews and nieces and their children, I think it will take a while but very enjoyable.

Anyway must dash and thankyou to all who have left me comments on my blogs it is much appreciated.

Memories

Hi,

Shed a few tears today of sadness and happiness!

I lost my Mum six years ago and my Dad passed away last June,

When we emptied his flat there was a few photo’s but found it hard to go through them until now.

Today I sat and went through them and scanned them onto my pc and emailed them to my sister and brother, I hope they get as much enjoyment out of them as I did.

It is nice to have memories I found one of my Uncles wedding and I was a bridesmaid the photo had my Mum, Dad, Grandma, Granddad, Great Grandma, Uncle, Brother, Sister and myself that was a really nice one to find.

My Niece is making a scrapbook for my Sisters 50th birthday in November so the photos came in really handy and she was really pleased with them.

Notice I have not mentioned THE diet lol that’s because I still havn’t started it, I know I should but I still have to get myself into the right frame of mind, I’m sure I will get there eventually.

Anyway time to love you and leave you  its time for bed.

Hugs
